Antique Regency Mahogany Large Chest of Drawers + Secret Drawer C1800 W6420/1.6

Description

Antique regency mahogany large chest of drawers and dating from around 1800. It has a rounded edge to the top above a cross banded flamed mahogany frieze with satinwood stringing and which incorporates a secret drawer to the centre with ebonised banding to the edge. There are two short drawers over three long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with original brass handles and ivory key escutcheons. It has reeded side columns with strung panels and stands on ogee bracket feet.

Measures: 51.5" high X 22" deep X 53" wide

In very good condition with a deep coloour and patination to the quality mahogany however there is a very fine grain line to the top which is not unusual and this lovely chest oozes all the charm and character of the period.
