Large Half-Length Oil Portrait Painting Of Rembrandt van Rijn

Brief Description:

This is a large, impressive Oil on Canvas Portrait Painting depicting the Dutch Baroque artist Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669).

Painted during the late 1950s and early 1960s, the wonderful image portrays the Old Master painter in a seated position, wearing his regular black gown and his favourite, woolly hat.

The artist has captured him in a beautiful, almost impressionistic manner.

The facial features are extremely lifelike.

The work is signed indistinctly in the lower right corner, and it is mounted within the original vintage gilt frame with a decorative hessian inner border.
