A charming small scale 19th century welsh oak side cupboard, of simple vernacular form. The cupboard is arranged with a pair of panelled doors enclosing storage below, surmounted by an open dresser style top with two shallow drawers and fixed shelves. Crafted in solid oak, with an attractive, time work appearance. Its reduced proportions suggest use as a side cupboard, or antique child’s dresser. A pleasing characterful example of 19th century oak furniture.
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. Wear, marks and surface scratches consistent with age and use throughout. Noticeable fading and staining to one side, with areas of colour loss running down towards the feet. Fading to feet. Overall structurally sound with a well worn surface keeping with its age and vernacular character.
