A top quality Victorian carved solid English oak cased aneroid barometer with oak leaf wreath design border and silvered dial by George Wilson & Co London c.1890. The broad turned solid oak case with superbly carved oak leaf wreath design border running continuously around the edge. Engraved silvered scale with weather predictions, which is sat over an aneroid movement. Bevelled edge glass view window mounted in a polished brass bezel with reading marker knob to the centre of the glass. Bears the makers name George Wilson & Co, Great Putney Rd, London.
