Gents 9ct gold Longines wrist watch, 1945.
The watch has a 15-jewel 12.68Z hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 6,916,255 which dates it back to 1945.
The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the winding crown, and 30mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1945 with a case maker’s mark for the English case maker Aaron Dennison. There is a slight indentation above number 12, and some gentle unevenness to the back and a 4mm scratch, but overall nice condition for such an early piece.
The lens is in super condition.
The signed dial is in beautiful condition. It appears as though the hands are period replacements
The watch has a later leather strap with the Longines buckle.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
