M Lees and Sons has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
Fitted with 2 short over 3 long ‘cock-beaded’ and oak-lined graduated drawers , all retaining their original sophisticated cast brass rococo design handles, with brass escutcheons and steel locks (no key) . The whole raised on original shaped bracket feet , rectangular top with a moulded edge.
The verso fitted with original red-washed back-boards.

In excellent original condition having achieved a rich colour and patina to the original polished surface. The top with minor historic marks commensurate with age, use and purpose.
A smart Georgian mahogany chest-of-drawers of desirable compact scale and proportions.
Has an interesting receipt with it from Gordon & Mellor of Toxteth , Liverpool dated 16th July 1889 to a Mr Roberts for a “Mahogany Chest of Drawers £4.0.0 “
