From a lifelong collection of Mason''s Ironstone. A Coffee cup, circa 1890, made in the shape of early 19th-century custard cups. Quite difficult to find with saucers, as people collected them as custard cups without the saucers.
Made in the late 1890s, they were designed as a coffee cup, but had flaws with heat and the handle, so not huge amounts were made. This has led to them being very hard to find, and people collecting.
