Mint Solid 9ct Gold Omega 552 Automatic from 1963

1940 - 1960
Description

This is a remarkable unrestored and almost unworn example of the solid 9ct gold Omega 552 Automatic from 1963

The only work we have carried out is to service the movement and give the case a light polish with a soft cloth.

The solid 9ct gold case is 34mm in diameter excluding the original crown, a full size gents.

The case edges are sharp and crisp the watch looks like it was kept hidden away in a drawer and rarely worn.

The movement is the Omega 552, Omegas greatest automatic winding movement. It has been freshly serviced and is currently running at plus 5 seconds per day , not bad for a 60 year old watch.

The starburst art deco explorer dial is totally original it has had no restoration, the art deco numerals are solid gold with sharp facets that catch the light.

The hands are matching gold

The hallmarks and movement serial number both indicate that this watch was made in 1963

Its the most original unrestored example you will ever see.

We can fit almost any colour or style of strap, we keep most things in stock.

A superb collectors piece.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
