Description

George III oak open dresser base c.1800. Two plank top with a moulded edge and an applied moulding to the underside. Over three drawers with a mahogany crossbanded border, ebony cockbeaded edges and later turned wooden knobs. Note also the burr elm used for some of the drawer linings. Over a particularly well shaped apron which is continued on the sides. Raised on square tapering legs with a simple moulded detail. oak side panels, elm backboard. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
