Description

A very pleasant and atmospheric highland sheep landscape by William H Watson (1886-1964), oil on canvas, signed lower right and dated 1925.

William H Watson was one of a family of highland scene painters. He was the fourth child of artist Robert Watson (1855-1921). William was born in Aughton, Ormskirk, Lancashire and is buried in Ballaugh, Isle of Man.

A very good painting, professionally cleaned and conserved. Offered in superb condition with period sytle giltwood frame.
