Description

Antique gun metal calendar pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. We have attributed this movement to Robert Alfred and Robert Camille, both of Switzerland, who held an 1896 patent on the design for a ‘new perpetual calendar watch’.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gun metal with gold plated highlights. The case is in good condition.

The glass lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is in good condition. Four subsidiary dials for day, date, month and moon phase . The subsidiary dials are initially set by opening the front hinged bezel and adjusting by way of the cogs just underneath the dial, as shown in the photo.

Pin-set hour and minute hands.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
