Hingstons of Wilton has dated this Antique Oak Dresser Base to the 18th Century.
Crafted in the late 18th to early 19th century, this piece showcases the warm patina and rich grain only centuries-old oak can offer.
The dresser features three spacious drawers with attractive brass handles, perfect for storing linens, cutlery, or household essentials. Below, the open pot board base offers versatile display or storage space. Notably, the base retains its original hand sawn boards—each plank bearing the charming irregularities and tool marks that speak to traditional craftsmanship.
Elegant shaped aprons and sturdy chamfered square legs complete the design, making this dresser base a wonderful addition to kitchens, dining rooms, or hallways alike. Whether used as a functional sideboard or a decorative focal point, this piece embodies rustic refinement and enduring quality.
