A fine quality Victorian rosewood and mahogany chiffonier type credenza. The base of the piece has two side cabinets of concave form with mahogany panel doors both sides of which are column supports with carved corinthian capitals. The centre section is open with a mirrored back and all rosewood veneered shelves, there is also a drawer to the centre section. The top is of thick grey veined marble which is the original. The back consists of three mirrored sections each divided by carved columns and the arches topped with carving of flowers and anthemions. The whole of the piece is applied with a wavy moulding. The piece is veneered in the finest rosewood and of the best quality construction throughout. C.1850.
