Description

Mid 19th.c. mahogany chiffonier side cabinet c.1860. Veneered top with a crossbanded edge over two slim oak lined drawers and a two door cupboard fitted with a single adjustable shelf (internal depth 12"). Carved details to the centre and sides of the drawer fronts. Arched flame mahogany door panels flanked with carved corbels and moulded pilasters. Note how the pilasters are applied to the doors with the hinges behind, allowing the doors to open to the full width. Solid mahogany groundwork to the doors, and solid mahogany sides. Raised on a square plinth. Some obvious wear to the top and patched repairs at the rear corners, also a repair to the veneer at the left hand corner of the plinth. Otherwise very good colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshop. Key supplied.
