FB Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
This beautiful piece showcases the simple, classical lines typical of the era and offers both aesthetic charm and functional storage.

This chest dates from around 1870 to 1890 and is made from solid mahogany, possibly Cuban or Honduran. It features four full-width drawers, each with turned wooden knobs and cockbeaded drawer fronts. The drawers are constructed with hand-cut dovetail joints, a hallmark of quality craftsmanship. The chest stands on its original turned bun feet and has a rich, warm patina with a traditional finish.

The condition is good overall, with minor surface wear and age-related marks consistent with its age. There are a few light scuffs and small shrinkage cracks but the structure is solid and the drawers run smoothly.
