Edward Davies (1841–1920)
A charming late 19th-century rural watercolour by Edward Davies (1841–1920), signed lower left and titled verso on a Royal Institute exhibition label. Depicts a thatched barn with chickens under blossom trees — a classic English countryside view in rich detail and soft tones. Davies was a noted R.I. member based in Leicester. Mounted and framed as shown. A genuine, well-composed work with excellent provenance and timeless pastoral appeal.
