A good pair of Japanese hand carved bears from the Meiji period circa 1880. These are finely detailed and realistically crafted and are signed by the artist to the base of the feet. The bears have glass eyes and bone carved teeth and are hand carved in a playful stance with much charm and character. The bears measure 18 cms long 13 cms high by 9 cms wide.
