Antique Victorian Carved Oak Settle

Description

An exception Victorian carved oak settle from the late 19th century, featuring a high backrest with three carved panels displaying foliate scrollwork and a central Green Man motif. This antique oak settle has a hinged seat that lifts to reveal a storage compartment. The front panel is also carved with foliate and animal motifs. Designed with open arms supported by turned uprights and set on a sturdy plinth base. Solid oak construction with a dark patina.
