Open Oak Dresser Base C.1780

18th century
Description

Late 18th.c. English open oak dresser base, Shropshire c.1780. Two plank top with a moulded edge and an applied moulding to the underside. Over three oak lined drawers with a moulded edge to the drawer fronts and Georgian pattern brass handles. With a particularly well shaped apron along the front edge and continued at the sides. Raised on unusually shapely cabriole legs to the front and square rear stiles. Repairs to the front left hand corner of the top, the left hand drawer front and the feet. Otherwise very good colour and condition, restored, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
