FAQs

Early 20th century designs frequently incorporated striking geometric patterns, stylised floral motifs, and vibrant colour palettes influenced by modernist movements and arts and crafts traditions.

Artists and designers typically utilised watercolour or gouache paints applied onto heavy artist paper or card, often incorporating pencil guidelines and ink detailing.

Authentication involves examining the paper stock for period-appropriate aging, identifying hand-painted brushwork under magnification, and looking for authentic studio stamps, manufacturer annotations, or designer signatures.

Such pieces are typically displayed behind conservation-grade glass within a minimalist or traditional wooden frame to highlight the intricate brushwork and vibrant colour palette as a focal wall art piece.

To prevent fading and degradation, frame the artwork using acid-free mount boards, UV-protective glazing, and display it away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity.
