Description

A fine painting depicting a Highland Pony and Retriever, with the days bag. An oil on canvas, signed lower right R. Cleminson and housed in a gilt frame.

The size of the painting is 50 cm x 75 cm whilst overall the size is 91 x 66 cm.

The painting is in very good condition the frame also in good condition with some minor age cracks/losses as to be expected.

Robert Cleminson (British, 1864-1903)

was best known for his oils of landscapes, Highland game, and sporting dog paintings. He exhibited 10 works at the British Institution, which was established as a rival to the Royal Academy, and Boydell's Shakespeare Gallery in Pall Mall, London.
