Large Regency Mahogany Bow Front Chest of Drawers

19th century
Description

A lovely mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. They are a good large size with an attractive bow front and beautiful flame mahogany drawer fronts. The drawers have brass ring pull handles and they stand on small bracket feet.

The chest is in good condition for its age with a nice colour and patina. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are the usual signs of wear and use, some minor old marks and knocks and old repairs here and there but nothing detrimental. There is an old shrinkage split in one side which has been repaired and the chest is strong and sturdy and displays well. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
