In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It is made of a mixture of mahogany and stained pine and the drawers have small brass knobs. It would have likely originally been used in a workshop to contain small parts or screws. Now it would make a lovely specimen / collectors chest or even a jewellery box or stationery cabinet.
It is in good condition for its age and has a lovely patina. The drawers are generally clean and tidy inside. There are signs of age and use, some minor surface marks and knocks, small chips and splits but no major damages. There are some minor signs of historic worm which has all been treated as a precaution and overall the piece displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
