Description

Unusually small early 19th.c. mahogany 'bachelor's' chest of drawers c.1820. Useful small size, just 26" wide. Solid single piece mahogany top with a moulded edge. Over four drawers of graduated height plus a brushing slide. Well figured veneers (on pine groundwork) to the drawer fronts with cockbeaded edges and later brass handles. Cedar sides to the drawers. Solid mahogany cabinet sides with brass carry handles (of slightly different design). Raised on shaped bracket feet at the front and sides. Some earlier repairs and restoration, one odd handle to the bottom drawer. Otherwise good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
