Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Eighteenth-century Meissen porcelain is defined by its true hard-paste body developed in Saxony, exceptional hand-painted enamel decoration, elaborate gilded details, and designs inspired by Rococo curves, pastoral scenes, and botanical motifs.

These vessels were hand-thrown or moulded using local kaolin and alabaster, fired at high temperatures, glazed, and subsequently decorated with overglaze polychrome enamel paintings, gilding, and hand-sculpted finials before a final low-temperature firing.

Authentic period pieces usually feature the underglaze blue crossed swords mark, crisp relief moulding such as the osier pattern, refined hand-painted enamel work, and subtle imperfections consistent with 18th-century kiln production.

Display the vessel on a sideboard top, inside a glass front cabinet, or alongside contemporary ceramics to create a curated contrast between historical porcelain artistry and modern minimalist surfaces.

Clean gently by hand using lukewarm water and a mild non-abrasive detergent. Avoid immersion of gilded parts, dishwashers, and harsh chemicals to preserve the overglaze enamels and gold leaf trim.
