Antique Waltham Beacon full hunter pocket watch, 1899.

The watch has an export grade 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 9,194,813 which dates it back to around 1899. This the Beacon grade movement which has a Church 1892 patent regulator, gold jewel chatons and Breguet hairspring for enhanced precision. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, the company supplied most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition with just light marking, and a hint of unevenness to the centre of the back, but nothing too serious at all.

The front cover has a small central lens (it has a tiny chip to the edge), surrounded by Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
