Description

David Thomas Robertson 1879-1952.Landscape,animals and portrait painter in oil and watercolour.Born in Darlington to Scottish parentage soon moved to Sunderland.He was largely a self taught artist although was thought that he may have received some tuition from his close friend John Atkinson,and shared his preference or painting horses and cattle.He exhibited his work at the Royal Scottish Academy and Society ,the Berwick Club,Pen and Palette Society,Laing Art Galleries and others. ‘ Farmer leading a Team of Horses pulling a Cart of Logs’ signed watercolour,image size 41x52 cms,framed size 67x76 cms .A good large example of the artists work ,well framed in a giltwood frame with a double mount with wash line mount
