Description

A good watercolour depicting a stunning sunset of the Anglesey coast painted in 1921 by talented artist John McDougal.

John McDougal was a Liverpool born artist (born circa 1850) and specialised in painting landscape and coastal scenes in Cornwall, Sussex, Devon, Wales, Anglesey and the Isle of Man . He exhibited his works at the Royal Academy, The Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour between 1877 - 1903. His works can be found at the Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery and Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.
