Description

Antique Selezi silver pocket watch, 1912.

The watch has a Revue stem-winding movement which would have been bought in by Dimier Frères & Cie, to be subsequently sold under the brand name Selezi, registered by Dimier Frères in 1912. The movement is working nicely and it is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for Birmingham 1922, with a maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison. Dennisons was a Birmingham based watch case maker, and supplier to various watch makers. The case is in good condition, just a hint of slight unevenness to the back.

The acrylic lens is in good condition (a little reflection showing in the lens).

The dial is signed Rudd’s Excelsior, True Timekeeper, Devenport, the original retailer of the watch. The dial is in lovely condition.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
