Gents 10k gold filled Longines wrist watch, 1953.

The watch has a calibre 19A 17-jewel automatic movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 8,974,464 which dates it back to 1953.

The watch measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 10k gold filled. The front is in lovely condition. The back has some surface marking around the edge but not too detrimental at all.

The inside of the case back is signed Longines.

The winding crown is probably a period replacement.

The lens is in lovely condition (there is some reflection showing in the photos, particularly at the bottom, but it is just reflection).

The signed dial with diamonds is in lovely original condition with original hands and a subsidiary seconds dial.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from a Newcastle jeweller.
