Description

Superb late 18th.c. Welsh oak potboard dresser base, South Wales c.1790. Two plant top with an applied ogee moulding to the underside. Three large drawers, the fronts with moulded edges and good quality Georgian pattern brass handles. With a particularly attractive Cupid's bow shaped edge to the apron below the drawers. Raised on four good turned front legs and straight rear stiles over the open potboard display shelf featuring the original oak boards. Moulded edge to the plinth with shaped feet to the front and sides. Oak sides and backboards. Some old wear to the top and previous restorations. Generally excellent condition and particularly good colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
