Description

Gents large 1950s Tissot wrist watch.

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 2,527,808 which dates it back to 1951.

The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs, a good wearable size for a piece made in the early 1950s when the fashion was for smaller watches. The main body of the case is chromium plated while the case back is stainless steel. There is some rubbing to the lugs, and general light marking, but overall very acceptable for such an early piece. The inside of the case back is signed with the Tissot logo.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish and it is in good condition, just some discolouration around the numbers but not too detrimental. Original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
