Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Regency era.
A very decorative model, having simulated bamboo columns to the front, the two short drawers over three long and graduating drawers all run well and have the original ebonised turned handles, to the centres of each drawer are original hand painted decorations and line work around the edge of the drawers. There is also line work decorations to both sides of the chest. Large proportions and in very good original condition, stands on turned legs to the front and brackets to the back. Still in the original Regency deep cream flat paint finish, a lovely piece of early English original painted pine antique bedroom furniture.
