Antique silver Dimier Freres pocket watch, 1909.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the initials for Dimier Freres & Cie, an Anglo Swiss watch maker and importer.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which is beautifully engraved, ‘To S C Lewis, from the MACS, Dec 25th 1912’. There is a scratch to this inner cover.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London (import mark), 1909, with a sponsor’s mark for Dimier Brothers. Overall the case is in good condition, just a little unevenness around the edge.

The glass lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
