1918 silver Waltham Marquis full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement which is working nicely. This is a good quality gilt movement with 15-jewel, Breguet hairspring for enhanced precision, and screw-set jewels. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 20586472 which dates back to 1916. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 51.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Birmingham hallmarks for 1918 with the case makers mark for the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. Dennisons made most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case has some mild bruising but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition.

The signed dial looks good to the naked eye although if viewed through a jewellers loupe there are several very faint hairline cracks.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
