Antique Waltham Traveler pocket watch & chain.

The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The gilt movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 16,592,983 which dates it back to around 1908.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Birmingham 1912, with a maker’s mark for the Birmingham case maker Aaron Dennison. Dennisons manufactured most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case has minor mark, overall very acceptable for such an early piece.

The glass lens has a chip to the bevelled edge but otherwise is in lovely condition.

The dial has a couple of hairlines on the edge, underneath the chip, but otherwise looks good.

The watch comes with a single silver chain, 31cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. Nicely hallmarked for 1897 on the T-bar and clasp, and each of the graduated links has a silver mark. The chain weighs 38g.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
