Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
This sits on short cabriole legs with shell carving at the knees, the top and drawer fronts are nicely cross banded. There are high quality brass handles and escutcheons, the drawers are solid wood lined and have fine, hand cut dovetailed joints.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is very good for its age. There are just some minor old marks here and there remaining beneath the polish.
