Antique Victorian Tall Mahogany Scotch Chest of Drawers C1860 Md4/25.1

Description

Stunning antique victorian mahogany chest of drawers and dating from aorund 1860. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a moulded edge to the top above a long serpentine frieze drawer under which is a central squared hat box flanked on either side by two small drawers and a row of three graduating long drawers all of the drawers are mahogany lined with original turned mahogany knob handles inset with mother of pearl. To each side there are acanthus leaf corbal supports and it stands on a deep plinth base on turned feet.

A beautiful chest in very good condition with a lovely deep colour, grain and patination to the quality mahogany oozing the charm and character of the period.
