Antique silver Syren pocket watch & albert.

The watch has a good quality Revue stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement has screw-set jewels, a snail cam regulator and Breguet hairspring. The movement is signed Syren, a brand name used by an importer of Record and Revue watches, and it is all protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1919 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, a Birmingham case maker and supplier to various watch makers. The front and side of the case are in good condition, the back has a 3mm indentation and some unevenness.

The glass lens is in good condition (some reflection showing in the main photo).

The dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is a hairline between 9 and 10.

The watch comes with a single silver chain, 35cm long including the T-bar and the clasp, and also a silver and enamel fob from the Kingston & District Football League, awarded for the 1931/32 season. The chain and fob are a good weight at 55g.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
