A 19thc Oak, Mahogany and Pine Gothis Style Bookcase with six drawers below that have their original brass fittings and locks. This piece made by Hobbs and Company , London. The top three shelves are designed for books and have a pine backboard. The bottom board is oak and is made to display other items on. It is in two pieces with bottom piece being 71 cm in height.

Alfred Hobbs was born in Boston, USA and was originally involved in locks. He started the furniture business in Cheapside, London in 1860

The upper section has a crenellated top cornice, three open shelves with a pine backboard, and an oak display base. The lower section contains six dovetailed drawers arranged in two tiers of three smaller drawers above two larger drawers and a full-width lower drawer, fitted with original brass drop handles and locks.
