Antique Elgin pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a 7 jewel stem-winding movement, grade 294, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 23,244,161 which dates it back to 1921.

The watch measures 59mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop so larger than a standard 50mm pocket watch, and nice and chunky too. The inside of the case back is marked as ‘Silveroid, Genuine Imitation Silver’. The case is in lovely condition, just a hint of unevenness to the back but nothing serious at all. Both the bezel and case back are screw fitting.

The glass lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in very nice condition, just one short faint hairline running through number VII. Original blued steel hands. The watch is wound by pushing the crown in and winding clockwise.

The watch comes with a single nickel chain, 35cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
