George II Walnut and Oak Chest

18th century
Description

Georgian II walnut and oak chest of drawers circa 1730. This is a lovely chest, that is full of age, charm and character. No loose joints and the oak lined drawers slide freely (some marks inside as is to be expected).

Good shape and fantastic proportions. Charming historic waviness and distortion. Full of age charm and character, almost a work of art.

There are no keys and the locks are consequently untested. Later handles. There are historic extinct woodworm holes (expected for 18th Century walnut/oak), that we have treated for good measure. Some veneer replacement, imperfections and repairs, typical and to be expected for period walnut.
