The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement has been identified as by Fleurier.
The case is silver and it is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1924 and there is a hand scratched inscription inside the hinged case back which reads, ‘From Floss to Will, Birthday 1926’. The case is in good condition, just an indentation by the hinge.

The glass lens is in good condition (some reflection showing in the photo).
The dial is signed Arcadia, a brand name registered by the Fleurier Watch Co in 1915. The dial is in its original finish with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
