Gents 1940s Montilier Wrist Watch

Gents 1940s Montilier wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel ETA 930 hand-winding movement which is working nicely. There are two empty retaining screw holes within the movement but these screws are not required as everything is held in place with the inner protective cover.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in lovely condition. The back of the watch is signed Montilier, and it also states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is signed Montilier, a brand name registered by Societe Suisse d'Horlogerie Montilier of Montilier, Switzerland in 1927. The dial is in its original finish, it would have had radium paint detail on the hands and numbers but this has been removed over the years. There is some darkening but still easy to read the time.

The watch has a vintage leather strap… please let us know if you would prefer a new strap.
