A late 19th century French oil painting on canvas, depicting a Mediterranean coastal landscape with a house and trees in the background, by rocks over lapping waves, under a blue sky, signed and dedicated lower right: A Mademoiselle Larguier, Souvenir reconnassaint, A. Barnier. Framed in a giltwood frame, probably the original, French, circa 1890. Canvas size: 13” by 18” (33cm x 46cm)
Condition: Excellent, the painting is in very good condition with no paint loss, the colours appear bright and fresh, the frame is in good condition with no losses, and the gilding is in good condition. The painting has been cleaned and revarnished by our restorer. Overall the painting has a lovely warm feeling to it, with a beautifully rendered seaside scene.
