The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel adjusted stem-winding movement which is working nicely.
The movement is signed Prestex Lever, a name which was registered by Prestons SA in 1927.
This is a good quality movement with screw-set jewels, micro regulator and Breguet hairspring. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled Moon model from the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case is in lovely condition, as is the glass lens with just one 2mm scratch which is barely noticeable to the naked eye.

The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, Prestons Ltd. It is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. The stylised numerals are a particularly handsome feature.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
