The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a high grade 19 jewel Riverside Maximus hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 14ct gold filled and was made for Waltham by the Star Watch Case Company. The case dates back to the 1920s so we can deduce that the case and movement have been put together at some stage, and they sit very well together.

The front of the case is in good condition, just very small areas of rubbing to the lugs but difficult to see with the naked eye. The flat face of the case back is in good. There are two areas where the case back has been removed, and the prising areas have opened up (please see photos).
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
