Description

The “Express” English Lever pocket watch by J G Graves of Sheffield.

The watch has a stem winding English lever movement which is working well. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for Chester, 1902 inside both of the case backs, together with the case maker’s mark for J G Graves. The case has light wear to the engine turned detail and some mild unevenness to the hinged case back.

The later acrylic lens has light marking around the edge but not too detrimental.

The enamel dial is signed The Express English Lever, J G Graves, Sheffield. The dial has several faint hairline cracks. Original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
