Antique silver Kays “Superb” pocket watch, 1919.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement, identified as by Revue, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. This is a heavy 2½oz case, it has a lovely weight in the hand. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1919 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, a Birmingham based case manufacturer and supplier to various watch makers. The case is in good condition with the engine turned detail on the back of the watch still being nice and crisp, and with a vacant cartouche to the centre.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer of the watch. It is in lovely condition with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and inner red 24 hour markers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
