Gents 1960s Smiths Astral wrist watch with date.

The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement, calibre 60467E, which is working nicely. The movement is stamped Made in England.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated while the case back is stainless steel. The case is in beautiful condition, just the odd little mark but nothing too detrimental at all.

The lens is in lovely condition (some reflection showing on the lens).

The signed dial is in its original textured finish with original hands, centre seconds hand with red detailing and, unusually, a date display (not quickset).

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
